The defense continues to be impressive. We still struggle with the run, but overall you have to like what you see out of that unit.

The offense moved the ball well today, both on the ground and in the air. I thought this was a testament to both the play calling and the execution by our guys.

Wyman made his FGs. He stepped up and looked confident. (not counting the 59 yarder)

The TOs killed us, as usual. The fumble was pretty inexcusable. MC's first interception was a combination of bad things: unchecked defender, ill-advised throw, great play by the defender. The second one was just a terrible play by Quiv, who hasn't honestly impressed me much this season, for all the hype. He can be electric, but he makes a ton of terrible mistakes.

The big key is the QB position. Beaty only has two of his own guys on campus--Stanley and Starks. It's pretty clear Beaty doesn't think Stanley has it...at least not yet. Cozart played well, for the most part, but I still don't believe he can turn the program around. Willis...lots of talent, lots of mistakes, and lots of smoke that he might be a knucklehead. Starks...who knows. Certainly athletically gifted.

The way I see it, the program's turnaround is all on the OL and QB next year. We will have the D to compete. We will have skill players who are legit. We just need the OL to continue to grow and one of the QBs to be the real deal.

The realists on this board said they wanted to see progress this year, even if it didn't translate to wins. If you're not seeing progress, you're not watching. Next week should be a bloodbath, but I like our chances to compete with almost everyone else.

Stay the course, fellas.
