I re-watched part of the game. It looked like Holgorsen got done with the air raid and went power. After KU got a few stops and two of the drives WV only got one yard each drive.

Then at the end of the first quarter they scrapped the four wide and went with a fullback and tight end. And they just lined up and gashed the defense.

I don't know how often Holgorsen does that but he went full power on KU and didn't look back. They started at the end of the first quarter to halftime and they ran the ball 61% of the time during that span.

They pushed the KU front 6-7 around quite a bit. I was reading over some comments from the WV players and one of the OL basically said they started running out of what they call their goal line formation. They were really out-matched and physically couldn't stop the run.

This gives me concern when Texas comes in with that big OL and hammer Foreman all day. And also with KSU. The defense has done well and held some power air raid teams in check but when it comes to stopping the power run against physical teams they just don't match-up well.
