I only caught a little bit of the interview, but Heeney was very positive about Beaty and the football program. He thought things were going in the right direction, but said Beaty inherited a tough situation and wouldn't be able to build Rome overnight. During the little bit that I heard, he was very positive about KU and said he tried to stay in touch as much as he could.
Grunhard was also on the interview and was very positive about KU and the inroads the staff is making in the KC area. He said Kubiak had been by Miege a lot because apparently they have a kid that may be the best WR prospect in Kansas or Missouri. Grunhard had a lot of positive things to say and told a story about how Heeney and Smithburg got into a scuffle and then he and Bowen went in to break up the scufffle and started getting into it.
