The early part of this season was so disappointing and I'm sure from the outside looking in people were wondering(Myself included) how HCLL was going to keep this team together and fighting. All the preseason hype, CFP talk, all of that.... was right there in front of this team as a possibility and we just kept losing these very winnable games and it was so frustrating because we knew how good this team had the potential to be. But they just kept fighting, clawing, and improving, and just figuring things out. Hats off to Borland and Grimes too.. we've been pretty hard on those guys but they've made adjustments and put these guys in a great positions to win these games. Devin Neal may go down as one of my favorite Jayhawks of all time... freaking love this kid. JD6 isn't perfect by any means but what a gritty performance he had last night.
Cabeldue, Robinson, Mike Ford, Cornell Wheeler, Cobee, Melo, Marvin Grant, Luke Grimm(freaking love this kid), Arnold, Skinner, Casey, Kardell, JB Brown, Wudke, Caleb Taylor.. Just hats off to these guys.
One game left and we have a chance to go bowling for the 3rd straight year. 5 years ago I would've thought it was crazy that we'd go 3 straight bowl games.
This is always to be a very special class and we should really appreciate/respect all these dudes went through in their time year and what they've accomplished.
