OK, so now that we've seen half a season with the young guys getting a chance to see the field I feel like some of our recruiting needs may have shifted a bit.
QB- as always, if you find someone that you love then try to get him but we can likely wait a class without taking a guy here due to Willis and also Stanley being able to RS. Cozart, Ford, and Millweard are also back next season to provide adequate depth.
RB- from a pure #'s standpoint we'll need to take a RB or two. Only Kinner, Martin, and Schadler return for next season so not only do we need to take 1-2, but we need guys who are D1 ready.
WR- see QB... we have young depth here! Our WR group two years from now will have Gonzales, Perdue, Sims, Booker, Crawley, Hartzog, Moore, Patrick, Harrell, and Royal. I'm comfortable with that group as is.
TE- Not sure how much we'll really use a TE going forward, probably not enough to warrant a scholarship with our few remaining rides.
OL- Have to think we're done here with a GS, JC, and 3 HS kids already due to arrive. Time to find those diamond in the rough walk ons for this position.
DE- Yes please. We need another young athletic dude in the Dorance Armstrong mold for this class.
DT- Yes and yes please. 2 guys here would be outstanding purely from the stanpoint that we have a jinx at this position. Jones was a guy that I really thought would be a stud (Jeremiah Edwards too...Darius Parish was going to be a pro in my opinion...Jamal Greene was a big time guy that couldn't keep it together.. Marquel Combs... the BS NCAA decision on Butler, etc etc). I am very encouraged by Williams and Wise.
LB- maybe another here??? I like what we have but #'s are low for the young guys.
CB/S- again maybe one more. If we are going to a base 4-2-5 then we need more DB's.
If we have 7 rides left then I'll project RB, RB, DE, DT, DT, LB, DB.
