I guess I'm more and more seeing the last couple of seasons as more like "Geez, the team gets basically zero from the guard position and they're still winning around 20 games and making the tourney.....what would it look like if they had even ONE above average guard?"
I've been as critical of the players as anyone.
But my criticism has probably been somewhat misplaced. It's the Coaching Staff's job to find and obtain players capable of playing at a high D1 level. Kansas understandably is held to the highest standard. And they've clearly fallen short of that standard for a few years as it relates to the guard positon.
Just the eye test between our guards and others tells almost the whole story. But the results seal it.
Hoping the staff is able to get back their mojo going forward.
