We all know the roster situation by now, so lets talk "Year 3" and the future of the "young" OL for KU football. Year 3 has been talked about on this board as the year that we see major strides for our program and it all starts up front in my honest opinion. Since 2010 KU has struggled finding the right high school guys for our system and also retaining players at this position due to multiple reasons. Out of the players listed below, who is "the guy" with the most potential, who is most valuable, and who is your sleeper?

Jacob Bragg RS FR 6-4/284
Aaron Garza FR 6-3/290
Joe Gibson SO 6-3/293
Jackson Jenkins FR 6-4/305
Beau Lawrence FR 6-5/295
Clyde McCauley III FR 6-5/275
Mesa Ribordy FR 6-4/245
Hunter Saulsbury FR 6-4/280
Antoine Frazier HS 6-5/250
Hunter Harris HS 6-2257
Cameron Durley HS 6-6/275

I think Clyde McCauley III is the guy with the most potential. It was a tough decision between him and Cameron Durley but I really really like Clyde. It's a win win situation in my opinion because they both have a chance to see the field early. Clyde played the left tackle position in high school and Cameron played the right tackle position. I hope we can redshirt Clyde this year and see these two play on opposite sides for the next 4 years together. The MVP of the OL has to come from the center position. They are the most vocal and the leader of the group so I have high hopes for Joe Gibson. I just don't see anyone beating him out of the center position. I think Jacob Bragg will transition to guard for us and Hunter Harris will be the next center after big Joe Gibson. The sleeper of this group to me is Hunter Saulsbury which to most doesn't come as a surprise. I see him as a future guard with the ability to play center. Best case scenario he becomes a Trevor Marrongelli and best best case scenario is Cody Whitehair from KSU which was 6-4/309 last year as a JR. These are just my opinions but for us to get better it all starts up front with the big guys!!!
