Would you trade the Mangino era for an extended Mason era (assuming his run at Minni would have been 1:1 at KU)?
The potential ramifications are interesting. We probably don't make and win the Orange bowl. However, we probably are a much more consistent program with more bowl appearances.
I didn't experience the Mason era since I was in diapers when he left KU. I don't know what the feel of the program was like back then.
