Congratulated volleyball, soccer, and cross country for good seasons.

Herbert is questionable. He is progressing.

Gibson was a late scratch. Beaty thought Ribordy.

Dineen will be shut down for year

Beaty said after watching tape the kids played hard until the end of the game.

Beaty said they have the right people in their program and they come to work every night.

Thought they had a good game plan vs OU but lost too many one on one battles.

He felt they are showing more signs than last year as a team but that won't show until they win a game.

Beaty said offensively WV has a ton of speed. Some WR who have track speed. Very talented team. "We feel like we match up in certain areas."

Beaty said one thing about Dineen's injury is younger players are getting time.

Beaty said they went for it on fourth down because he wanted to be aggressive.

In the first practice Beaty saw Armstrong go down and their first thought was torn ACL. He worked so hard in off season and got strong the injury wasn't as severe as it would have other players.

Armstrong did have a slight tear of the ACL

On offense Beaty said they are playing better up front. He said although there weren't a lot of rushing yards the OL didn't play bad. Ribordy played well at center and Hughes held his own. Compared to last year OL is light years ahead.

On Montell "absolutely he is our guy."

Had some good throw aways. He was banged up after taking some hits. Used his feet better. As the game wore on Beaty felt there was some spots to complete passes. But said Cozart is improving and getting better.

Beaty said on recruiting QB they are recruiting at every position including QB. Said they are trying to get better at every position.
