Question for the OL guys. Caught a little bit of Farmageddon on TV Saturday. The telecast had field level shots from the back of the end zone that you do not always get to see during games.
Anyway, there were some good shots of K-State's OL splits. Unless my eyes were deceiving me, the splits looked like this:
OxxOxOxxOxO
There was a wide split between the RT and RG, a narrow split between the RG and C, a wide split between the C and LG and narrow split between the LG and LT.
Did anyone else notice this? Was K-State doing something different this this? If K-State was doing what I described, how common is that alignment? I ask because it is impossible to judge line splits from the midfield press box camera angle looking down on the field from the sideline.
Finally, if you are KU, how do you deploy the DL to best counter this alignment?
