KU can actually sell progress and the future to recruits. The coaches have given recruits on field evidence of progress and trust in the staff. Still a long road ahead of course but Gill, Weis, Beaty and Miles were never able to sell anything but except free playing time and being a part of the change. The change is actually happening now.
There is genuine reason for hope and belief. It isn’t blind optimism.
Our roster isn’t any better than previous regimens. In some cases it is worse. Good coaches have competitiveness and progress like we are seeing now.
