I guess the Florida AD had indicated it would take some time, maybe even into June, before they made their hire, but not so much. It's official. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling soon for KeVaughn Allen to get out of his LOI.

Louisiana Tech's Michael White hired by Florida to replace Billy Donovan
May 7, 2015 7:46 pm ET
Florida has hired Louisiana Tech's Michael White as its men's basketball coach.
"Not only is Florida home for me, but the tradition and success that the Gators have built make this an incredible opportunity," White said. "I have an incredible amount of respect for the University of Florida, and I am so excited to be a Gator."
White will replace Billy Donovan.
Donovan left Florida last week to coach the Oklahoma City Thunder.
White signed a six-year deal worth about $2 million per year. The 38-year-old Florida native finished 101-40 in four seasons at Louisiana Tech but never coached in the NCAA Tournament. His father is Duke athletic director Kevin White.
