Just saw on CNBC that ESPN is making a play to all sports content providers (including Apple, Google, and all regional sports providers) to be the hub for all sports streaming. So if I understand this correctly, if you are a fan that wants to see a game, you will be able to go to ESPN+ sports hub to begin your search for your event you want to see and the hub will guide you through and take you there, and I guess charge you as well.

Not all bad that KU and the Big 12 is already plugged into ESPN+ in a big way from a strategic standpoint as ESPN will likely be the leader in the future of sports streaming. ESPN's ultimate play is to purely be a streamer of their own content as well. I think that means sometime in the future they will no longer be available on DirecTV or cable. I guess that cuts out the middle man.
