Somebody sent me an email and said they appreciated the football board even when it is bad. This individual said they love KU football and also asked how I get through the season. They asked when it is rough they said I have a tough job and can't be any fun.
I wanted to throw this out there for everyone because whether it is good or bad we always try to bring the news the same way. I'm a KU guy. I want to see the team do well (or better) but regardless I have to bring the results, video, articles, recruiting info the same way.
I always enjoy reading the board and even take some good insight from people when the thoughts are negative. I like to get the temperature from all fans even when there are so many differing opinions.
It was a tough year this year. I thought Beaty and his staff handled it well.
I had complaints throughout the year that some felt the board was too negative. I let a lot more posts stay up than a lot of sites. I don't think it is fair to always get rid of every negative comment. I know some sites will delete a lot of posts that are negative to coaching staffs. There are a lot of parents of players and parents of recruits that are on the boards. Many don't post. But I also hope they understand when fans post negative things it is because they care.
Here's to more wins down the road, less negative board, and an easier job to do. It sure was more fun when I left the wife and kids behind and got to to go Tempe and Miami
