Rustin Dodd wrote a wonderful article on Dayton Moore on April 4 in the KC Star. The crux was Moore had a plan and stuck with it despite pressure to make decisions for quicker results. The decision to allow Zack Greinke to step away from the game for a few months when others in the organization pushed for Moore to make him pitch is a great example.
As I read the article I thought of the similarities to Beaty. Coach Beatty has a plan and we need to allow him to execute. I'm not sure what the issue is with Willis but if the long term plan contemplates playing guys who "earn it" and Willis lost the right to play...don't ignore the plan because fans think Willis is the guy and the pressure to win now causes Beatty to deviate.
I like Beatty and the plan he presented to the Search Committee. Lets show some faith and allow him to execute. Aren't we glad the Royals allowed Dayton Moore to fulfill his vision!!
