I thought we should give a shout out to the students at last nights game. I do not attend a lot of games, but I take in a fair share and have sat anywhere from courtside to the rafters. Last night the Students brought it and deserve a lot of credit for filling the phog with energy.

With all that said, could you imagine how loud that place would be if 1/3rd (if not more) didn't just sit on their hands all game? Last night I was section 2 ...for those that do not know is in the corner. I liked it because everybody has to stand because the students do not sit. I don't know if the students are also in the front of this section (never paid attention,) but whoever is in front stood the whole game making everybody stand. The season tix holder who gave me his seats told me it is like this most games. There was so many people around me grumbling they had to stand up and sit down and stand up etc., etc. I couldn't understand it.

I went to the OSU game and sat 8 rows up at center court across from the benches. It is an absolutely great seat to watch the game, but it is horrible from the standpoint of wanting to cheer on your team. You get the noise from the baselines where the students are, but the rest our crowd seems mellow. I have always felt this way when going to games and it was so apparent last night. I know that money pushes our program, but damn it would be so great to see Allen with twice the student section by increasing onto the sidelines. Also, I don't mean to lump all our non student fanbase into this category of "wine and cheese" crowd as I know we have the greatest fans. I just wonder how amazing Allen would be if we allowed more students into the games like Duke and many other programs.

Thanks again Students for bringing it last night.
