JD6 was never substantially hurt last year. It became obvious that Bean was the better option and we let JD6 sit the season out to retain a year of eligibility, save face and get better, and let Bean get us a Bowl Win. Despite our best attempts to keep him, AK knew that with JD6 this year he would have the optics of regressing as an OC and lose out on future opportunities. I think 25% chance I'm right.
