One thing that is concerning me with the Russia investigation is the complete and total lack of commitment to understanding what Russia did, how they did it, and what we can do to protect ourselves in future elections (or at least that's how it seems to me). Republicans and the President are so focused on avoiding any discussion about collusion that they are burying their heads in the sand regarding Russia's known attempts to influence the election. The Ds are so focused on diving into collusion, they seem to be ignoring the influence question as well.
The investigation into collusion is warranted and proceeding as it should, but that shouldn't diminish the need to continue trying to safeguard future US elections from outside influence.
