Along with the Zeke Mayo social media stuff, the Hunter/KJ/Dajuan hate, I've seen way too many fans here (and elsewhere) use words like "disgusting" and "embarrassed" when describing this season. It's certainly brought out the worst in our entitled/spoiled fanbase and criticism has gone over the top. Disgusting and embarrassing. Really? Seems those descriptions should be reserved for much more egregious crimes than not living up to whatever expectations people have for our players and coaches (say, rapes/murder at Baylor...pedophiles at Penn State....etc.). If we want to drive away potential recruits, or send our HOF coach into early retirement, some of our "fans" are doing a yeoman's job .
I'm certainly disappointed, as well as frustrated. I've also been around long enough to realize that KU fans, collectively, have had it better than virtually any other program in the country for the last 30+ years. I was in AFH yesterday and still marvel at what an incredible/unrivaled atmosphere it is (even when we were down to TTech).
I wish some folks would take a deep breath, step back and be appreciative for what we have all been able to enjoy for so long. We're spoiled rotten and it's showing it's ugly head right now.
