Republicans depend on vote suppression to win any type of majority and any election outside of deep deep ruby red areas. That's why in Texas for instance you can' vote with a student ID. That's why in many places you need some sort of voter ID because you know, it's a proven fact that a fraction of a fraction of a percent engages in voter fraud.
Providing equal access to healthcare will blow that out of the water entirely. That argument is gone. At the age of 18 you get government issued ID card (and yes that can happen, I sure AF remember at 18 having to register to be eligible to be drafted to go off and die in some manufactured war if needed).
