The league scored 35.3 ppg on average this past year and gave up an average of 31.7 ppg.

KU scored 15.3 ppg. and gave up 46.0 ppg.

As we strive to bring those two numbers closer together, which do you think we can influence the most next year.

I would immediately say the defensive numbers, but the offense has to hold on to the ball some for us to do it. Don't know what our average TOP was this year, but doubt it was very good. OU and Baylor scored without much TOP as I recall.

We just need to get our numbers respectable for this league if we are ever to win. Seems to me the greatest pressure is on the offense to move up toward the 25 ppg. level if we are to have any success at all. I believe the defense will make some real progress next year. Offensive line will probably control how much success the offense has.
