Had to make a quick trip up to Lawrence today and was amazed by all the construction. The basketball apartments next to the Fieldhouse and the new business building across the street is going to change that area drastically. Not to mention the rules building that is being built next door. It's already an amazing campus but damn is going to have that Lawrence feel with a little modernization.
The new apartments across from Memorial Stadium will change that setting as well. I used to live in Varsity House the ones next to it that were recently built and those will be blown out of the water. It will be much more attractive to students and student-athletes. Good job by KU.
Now the only thing missing is a new memorial stadium. I used to always stare at the hill and campus from Memorial was amazed by the scene. Not so much looking down from the Campinele. When the stadium is renovated and these are complete we are going to have something special. Now let's win some football games.
