Cal having financial problems due to stadium financing

For those of you that remember the Gridiron Club, Cal used a similar mechanism for their stadium, but instead of a $34 million project, there's was a $474 million project. KU's GC was a 30 year contract: Cal was doing 40 and 50 year contracts for seats. They didn't sell nearly enough of them and now they're bleeding money. Interesting read about Cal's problems.
