Ok, so maybe it's an outlier but in an Iowa poll he got 11% surpassing Harris, Beto, Booker, Gillibrand, Klobuchar - that's 4 sitting Senators and someone who served 3 terms in the House.
Here's the limited research I have on this guy:
1. Does not support Medicare For All
2. Is warm to the "concept" of a Green New Deal
3. Your typical liberal stance on gun control (assault weapons ban, isn't calling to repeal 2nd ammendment)
4. Supports LGBTQ+ rights
5. Supports Unions
6. Among his donors allegedly include the Simon sisters which are heavy Clinton backers
7. He biggest accomplishment in South Bend is the gentrification of downtown (heh, see the Amazon thread if you wan't my own thoughts and others on gentrification) much at the expense of the homeless there, he's literally trying to remove a homeless camp downtown - some will love this some will hate this, it is what it is
8. IMO seems good on paper. is "young" for the ageists out there. I'd put him at 4th overall in my choice. I'd definitely have him over the candidates mentioned above - unless said candidates above could convince me they really are for M4A because that is the litmus test - the barrier to entry for me.
