What's it going to take for a big name to get in the ring with GGG?
Obviously Canelo is the name everyone wants, and that would be an amazing fight. But Oscar is going to ruin it for everyone (I mean its his job, but its unfortunate). He wants Canelo to be the new face of boxing, and that won't happen if/when GGG puts him on his list of victims.
Floyd will never get in the ring with him even at a catch weight. Floyd doesn't want the last image of a great career to be of him scraping himself off the canvas. And I can't really blame him.
Andre Ward would certainly be a challenge, and only 1 weight class above GGG (usually). But Ward wants Kovalev first, and Ward doesn't really bring the same name recognition as Canelo.
I guess until someone gives him his chance, we can just continue to watch him beat up on a weak and thin division.
