By far and away the biggest thing I took away is how much more depth and competition there is at certain positions.
I mean there is competition everywhere. For example Michael Slater said if Dorance Armstrong doesn't come to practice he has guys that will replace him. Yenser said there are already young guys making moves on the two deep at OL. DeForest doesn't think the punting job will decided until right before the season. Jason Phillips said with a deep WR group it has pushed everyone in the summer and he talked about his WR is "a full room."
They didn't have that last year. It is a good thing.
