The athletic directors from the 10 member schools meet Thursday. The presidents of those universities will get together Friday. There is little doubt the topic of possible expansion will be among the items discussed, although certainly there are other items to consider.
Oklahoma president David Boren is among the league principals who have openly advocated for the league to expand beyond its current membership. He has said the Big 12 is operating at a disadvantage to rival leagues that contain between 12 and 15 schools.
