Assume that tonight Baylor takes care of Texas and Iowa State beats Oklahoma.
Saturday:
Baylor ends the season at home against Texas Tech. 96% odds per KenPom.
West Virginia beats Oklahoma State at home. 72%
Oklahoma beats us in Norman. 67%
Iowa State wins @TCU. 53%
Could easily happen, right?
Now here's the kicker. Assuming ISU can take care of OU in Ames tonight, KU clinches a share of the title without even playing. Then comes the perfect storm of no Cliff Alexander, already won the league, overconfidence because we're home, and a great game by West Virginia because they need the win for NCAA seeding. We lose once again in the last minute. 24%
Then we'd have a 5-way tie for the Big 12 title at 12-6. KU ends up the 3-seed and would have the lineup of KSU, ISU then OU in the Big 12 tournament.
