AARP, as well as other organizations, often put together petitions for its members to sign and return. In the case of AARP they sort and deliver to the correct distric and congressperson. They mentioned that a rule of thumb is that for every signee of that view there are ten others that didn't sign. These numbers are given to the rep at the weekly meetings. It dawned on me that while the supreme idiots in black robes allow for corps to seen as people for contributions these entities cannot vote. Only individuals can vote. So to make our voices really heard we should participate in that are in line with our own political views, and therefore give our voices a larger impact. A ot of you younger board members many not like AARP, but I just using them as an example of a vehicle to have our voices heard.
