So I noticed the All KJCCC Team was announced...and can't believe they have DeeIsaac Davis was just Honorable Mention. Now I think this is a really talented group of DTs in the KJCCC this year, but looking at some numbers I am confused why he wasn't higher:
DeeIsaac Davis (HM): 82 tackles, 5 sacks
Jeremy Faulk (1st): 85 tackles, 5.5 sacks
Tramal Ivy (1st): 54 tackles, 5.5 sacks
Joe Sanders (1st): 72 tackles, 9.5 sacks
Koron Crump (1st): 54 tackles, 11 sacks
Mych Thomas (2nd): 39 tackles, 4 sacks
Dion Dawson (2nd): 42 tackles, 10 sacks
Walvenski Aime (2nd): 41 tackles, 2.5 sacks
Zach Befort (2nd): 50 tackles, 3 sacks
Now I am not saying he should have been first team, and more goes into this than just tackles and sacks, but I think Davis should have been at least 2nd team.
Pretty deep group in the KJCCC this year though. Guys like Justice Hansen and Juwan Winfree didn't make first team.
Saw that Adonis Saunders was named honorable mention all KJCCC. I think he would follow the bounce back rule, similar to the one used on Dexter McDonald, and thus could come back to KU and not be an initial counter. He wouldn't necessarily be a difference maker, but would be a free scholarship guy essentially and wouldn't impact the 85 man limit at all over the next two years...
