Al Kelley

This has been posted on the bball side, but I will mention it here also. Al Kelley died early today. He played bball for KU from 1952--54 and was a member of KU 's national championship team in1952. Was All Big Seven in 53 and 54. Played for the Peoria Cats and won an Olympic Gold Medal with the U S bball team in 1960. He then went on to have a very successful career as a Cat exec for many years. He was my brother-in-law and a great guy, a good Jayhawk, a good family man, a ferocious competitor on the court, snd successful in about everything he did. We will miss his good nature , his humor, and his fun loving personality.
