There has been several articcles and opinions written about them recently as to there worth, purpose, success, etc. I just wondered what thoughts this board has. My feeing is that they should be used as only a reference but not as any criteria for college enrollment. They might, with counseling, steer one towards a career, but I don't like the idea that they determine in any way whether enrollment is accepted. I think anyone that can pay tuition and do the course work should be accepted in his/her state universities. The true test of that is did they. I guess private universities can use whatever criteria they want. I think this issue has come to the forefront because there has been a lot written on improving education and this ties back somewhat to politics.
