I'm far from an expert, but I absolutely hate lining up in the shotgun on short & Goal situations. May be old school, but you need to be able to line up with a hoss FB or TE in the backfield as a blocker and pound it in on 2 attempts. Lining up in the shotgun and taking the snap 4 yards deep on a short and goal situation is idiotic, especially with an inferior line.

Several years ago, when all three programs were good, myself and K_State co-workers used to tease our MU co-workers unmercifully because Pinkel would do the same damn thing repeatedly and cost them so many scoring opportunities and games. It's like these coaches are married to a system despite any changes to the game situation or field position. Just don't get it.
