Good story on efforts to address income inequality of Native Americans. A part of my pioneer ancestors took advantage of the Homestead Act of 1862 aimed at spurring pioneer settlement west of the Mississippi River. A consequence - debatable as to its intentions - was an impact that became a major factor in the destruction of the way of life of the Native American tribes across that vast area. The Bush Foundation commitment makes a start toward some recognition of that impact. The link may require a subscription. Let me know and I will try to copy the article.
