"I didn't think we were any good the first half," said Kansas head coach Bill Self late on Saturday afternoon. "We just made shots. You go 7-of-9 from three, you should have the lead. The biggest difference was, the second half, I think they played a lot better. We obviously had a terrible first two minutes of the second half, so 12 becomes four.
"They (OSU) had all of the momentum," he added. "We just didn't play very well. You can't look at any individual on our team and say that they had a good game. We had a couple of guys make some shots, but we didn't play very well, we didn't coach them very well, and we didn't do anything very well today."
Then I asked Self the key to letting one loss become two.
"I think getting back to who we are," said Self. "That happens a lot with teams throughout a season. "They get a little full of themselves or they take the foot off the gas, or they lose their edge a little bit, so we've got to get back and get our edge back.
"The last two road games we've played, we haven't played well at all," he added. "We need to get back on a better track. Everybody talks about winning all the time, winning and losing, and obviously we're judged by that, but more important to me is if we just play better and play right, then wins and losses will take care of themselves."
