Started out as the whole 2nd half, but got a little extensive. So breaking it down by quarter.
Stanford has hands! Both catches were good, and almost brought in the 3rd.
O line pass blocking is measurably better in the 2nd half! Cozart took off a couple of times when no one was around! Cozart looks to run a lot, I saw 2 guys rush, and he still took off, with no one around.
Penalties killed us! Beaty is gonna harp on that all week!
Armstrong had good hands (swim move) on his sack!
Crawley is gonna be a player! He was huge on the first couple of drives in the 2nd half!
Stanford dropped one in the 2nd half! Ben Johnson Dropped one! Kinner dropped another! (I know some people were asking)
Kinner TD run was open! O line did their job there! Simple Zone read....big Larry just straight up down blocked and got another player blocked! Love seeing that as an ex O linemen!
Wyman kickoff hurt momentum. On a note for the future, we need to watch for Janarion Grant of Rutgers!
They did a lot of 6 or 7 man protections throughout the game...we won't see that against better competition!
When KU was stopping SDSU, we were doing a lot better job of putting them in 3rd and long.
To tag on to what ESU said in another post, we pull any of our oline, at any time! Run or pass. I can see that get us some big plays in the future with LB's reading that.
Our Defense started getting gassed halfway through 3rd quarter. That is where the recruiting and more depth will come in very handy! May have something to do with some of the missed tackles in the 2nd half!
Re watching that Dineen hit....WOW!!! Glatczak should have had that INT on that play! 4th down conversion after that was huge!
Gotta stop them on 3rd and 1...wildcat formation and RB back there. Should not have finished that 3rd and 1. But managed to hold them to FG anyway.
Lujan never looked fully comfortable the entire quarter. His throws were consistently off target.
SDSU started really fearing Cozart running. 2nd time i saw only 2 guys rush.
