So much talk on the forum about this recruiting weekend, the freaking out about Dominic Williams getting attention from other schools, @dominicw2017's pantsing all of the gullible posters with his joke, and us doing our part to convince the KU AD to back up the Brinks truck to Hull's house and/or office, I decided to bring some form of alternative recruiting thinking with this thread idea.
What I did was look up all of the 2016 seniors, looking to see what we are losing. Along with that, I looked up our current 2017 commitment list, and blueshirt/grayshirt/transfer/walkon players already on campus, according to JK.
Side note: Of course, it is easy to say that we are upgrading, in many positions, but that is not the point of this thread. No matter what is said, each of the outgoing seniors brought something positive to this program that the incoming players will never be able to experience. On the other hand, the incoming players have, what appears to be, a better opportunity to make a more significant, program building impact on the future of a winning football program at KU. Either way, let's be thankful for everyone. The way the players are listed are in alphabetical order, both sides. As for the commits, I listed them based on their Rivals profile and/or articles, not by the assumed position they will be at KU.
With that said, here we go. Here is an example below.
(Side of the ball:
(The Thomas A. Simone Award is for the most outstanding player in Kansas City, and the Buck Buchanon Award is for the most outstanding lineman or linebacker.)
Let the discussion continue. Whenever new information comes out, I'll try to remember to update this thread.

A lot has happened since that post, but, in reference to JK's post, below is an idea of as close to legit target list, recruits who have been consistently mentioned or recently offered)Over the last week here is what I figured and I could be off one spot but think it is pretty accurate:
What the targets are:
1- juco DT (I think Simmons takes this spot if Beaty takes it and all the academic transcript stuff goes through)
1- juco DE
1- juco safety
1- juco CB
1- juco/or HS OL
1- juco/ or HS slot type WR
1- juco or HS TE type
I think there is some info I might be able to get in the next 24 hours but still tracking.
- JUCO DT - KeyShawn Simmons, or someone else not yet fully mentioned
- JUCO DE - Matt Leo, Chester Graves
- JUCO safety - Darreon Jackson
- JUCO CB -
- JUCO/or HS OL - Adrian Ealy
- JUCO/ or HS slot type WR - Tevin Bush
- JUCO or HS TE type -
(The Thomas A. Simone Award is for the most outstanding player in Kansas City, and the Buck Buchanon Award is for the most outstanding lineman or linebacker.)
