I feel like there's some targets that we're in on that we're just not going to get - no way - no how.
So of the Top 60 or so - I whittled it down to 17 and even one of those I'm really "iffy" on (Suspect Monk will likely go to Arkansas or UK).
Examples of ones that I know that we're on their lists but I see little way they choose us = Harry Giles, Dennis Smith Jr. & Rawle Alkins to name but a few.
1) Josh Jackson, 6'-7, 185 lb. SF; Napa, CA (native of MI) - may not want it crowded at SF w/ a Paschall (Fordham kid) transfer - although I'm one who believes that if Svi's 3AD he could very likely move down to SG anyway.
5) Terrance Ferguson, 6'-6, 180 lb., SG; Dallas, TX (native of OKC) - Visited in-season this past season. I think we have a good chance of landing him - probably moreso than Jackson
7) Malik Monk, 6'-3, 170 lb. SG; Bentonville, AR - I'd feel worse about our chances if he lived over in NE Arkansas as opposed to NW Arkansas - having said that, Bentonville's pretty close to Fayetteville.....it might be Arkansas to worry about more than UK there.
11) De"Aaron Fox, 6'-3, 170 lb. Combo. G; Katy, TX - I think he was noticed when we were scouting Tyler Davis last AAU season and we took note.
12) V.J. King, 6'-7, 185 lb. SF; Fairfax, VA - More from VA? Andrew White, Frank Mason, V.J. King? Could be a consolation at SF if miss out on Josh Jackson
13) Kobi Simmons, 6'-5, 175 lb. SG; Alpharetta, GA - I have a feeling that chances would improve if we land Jaylen Brown out of the '15 Class.
14) Udoka Azubuike, 6'-9, 260 lb. C, Jacksonville, FL - wasn't Tarik Black 6'-9, 255? Sounds eerily familiar
17) Jarrett Allen, 6'-10, 210 lb., C; Austin, TX - might've had a harder time against Barnes who's been known to land the bigs. Not sure how well Allen fits in Smart's smaller / faster system. Maybe so though. Smart wasted no time in going after Allen almost as soon as he got to Austin so....
21) Juwan Durham, 6'-9, 200 lb., PF; Tampa, FL (seems to be a wealth of talent in FL for the '16 class....you'll see a few more)
22) Dewan Huell, 6'-9, 210 lb., PF, Miami, FL
28) Miles Bridges, 6'-6, 225 lb. SF, Huntington, WV (sounds like a 1" taller Selden body type-wise)
30) Marques Bolden, 6'-10, 240 lb. C; DeSoto, TX (really want!!!!)
35) Schnider Herard, 6'-10, 255 lb. C, Plano, TX (also really want!!!!!)
36) Tony Bradley, 6'-10, 235 lb. PF/C, Bartow, FL
38) Mamadi Diakite, 6'-9, 205 lb., PF, St. George, VA
49) Kassoum Yakwe, 6'-7, 210 lb. SF, Centerreach, NY (Diallo's teammate)
55) Curtis Jones, 6'-4, 175 lb. SG, Huntington, WV......don't know if him and Bridges are tight or not.
