News and Notes Updates from Kotelnicki and Borland- WV week

Kotelnicki said he liked the "resolute" the team and offense showed. He liked the "fight" they showed. It was evident on film

Now they have to do it week after week.

That's what has him excited.

Daniels has been accurate and been able to do things with his feet. What people aren't seeing is how he has become a leader.

With Kotelnicki being in the box he is told by coaches how he is a leader.

Jason Bean has handled it well. He hasn't let it be shown any disappoint and has practiced well. He's been professional.

The players have picked up the base offense and that helps so you don't have to keep going over.

I asked Kotelnicki about QB recruiting his response they tell all the players they are always trying to replace them with a better version.

-----------------

Borland disappointed because they felt they could have won TCU game.

They are competing hard. Got some stops and there are things they can feel good about.

Logan has been good but Borland would like for the free safety not to be the leading tackler. He's an aggressive player and takes good angles.

Players have a lot of confidence in Logan,

Borland said he is planning on Logan coming back. He didn't have a definitive answer just planning on him returning.

Need to focus on getting bigger and stronger. Young defense and still inexperienced. Have to challenge players to grow.

Finally

I would like to say Thanks to this CEO. Not only is this the right thing for their employees. This is also very shrewd in trying to attract new workers when so many in America are rethinking their work life balance to be able to be with family more. I've seen posters on here complain about jobs reports and yes I am sure some took advantage of government bailouts, I think a lot of people realized how much family they miss when they are overworked.

Illinois and Cockburn

It’s almost criminal how they misuse him. Almost every shot he takes is contested 5’+ out with shot clock running out. No ball movement to open up some space for him, and it’s not like like they don’t have shooters/playmakers. Pretty frustrating to watch for the guy I’d say is most similar style/impact to Dok the past few years.

Edit:
Maybe not *every* shot, but a frustrating amount

Buffalo transfers

Now every one of them is contributing. Some in a major way like Miller, Ford, Novitsky, T Wilson. Also E Wilson, McGee, even DeBose getting some time. Never mind the intangibles of helping bridge the transition between coaches and players. It’s hard to imagine where we’d be without them. Someone was critical of taking so many of them, well we now know the result. It’s rare you hit 100% on transfers contributing. The staff clearly didn’t just take them for warm bodies, they knew what they were getting.

Lance Presser: Audio Issues - Embarrassing

Trying to listen to Lance's presser stream at kuathletics.com, and the audio is a complete abomination. Can't hear a damn thing he's saying thru all the static. These tech issues in our media room have been there for over a decade, and to my knowledge, no one has been fired. Every week there is something wrong with the audio. Either we can't hear the media members, or we can't hear Lance. Every single person associated with media technology should be fired yesterday. This shit is embarrassing. ESPN+ audio and video looks world class compared to what KU produces.
