Leipold and Emmet Jones visited his house tonight. He said they talked about Jordan Peterson and Leipold saw his family again.

Said Peterson coming down next week. More quotes coming later. I will say when he and I talked he had me on speaker phone in his car and I did not get a lot of clear quotes.

Officially into the portal.

Hard to remember a kid who has had a bigger fall from the top of the sport down than that guy had this year. Seems like a nice enough kid--hope he lands on his feet somewhere and is a star, as long as it isn't in the Big 12, and if it is in the Big 12 I hope we squash his hopes and dreams.

In this day and age, that would seem to be a given.

Good to see him on the scoreboard with 6. And he made his free throws. That is HUGE on this team.

Self gave quite a few guys some minutes. Overall they did pretty well. We kind of got burned again at the end of the first half and had to put the starters back in for the last minute.

I thought both of them stepped up their game today. I've been a little critical about Harris and his defense. I think it has been good but not outstanding. I thought today he made much more of a contribution. And actually scored because he went to the basket without the ball.

I also thought DMac finally came to play. He did miss a couple close ones, but in the 2nd half he did pretty well. He's going to be all about confidence the way it's been going so this had to help.

Last weekend, KU hosted 4 visitors. 1, a defensive back and another, a defensive lineman. The coaches of these 2 potions are now new as of today. Will this make it harder to get a commitment or were they informed of everything going on?

I think coach has too much love for Harris. Yes he's a very good if not our best defender. Not sure his defensive efforts are really enough to keep him on the floor for the majority of the game. He's not a big assist machine. BP & Yes would both put up better assist #'s given the same amount of time. BP & Yes are both above average defensive players as well.

I will start:

I went down to the lower level concessions on the east side in the 3rd quarter to get hot chocolate. Each concession window sent me to a different window to find it. After going to 4 different ones, I gave up. Why doesn’t every concession have hot chocolate and coffee on cold gamedays?

Play them! Although I thought Harris was better and he created several turnovers, we need to get PT to BP and Yes. Having 4 quick guards can make us dynamic if we get it right and Yes showed how he can help. None of his shots were easy and his float game and explosiveness getting down hill are fantastic. He's a solid shooter as well. BP can get down hill and facilitate too..
